Rays Attendance 2023 By Game
Tampa Bay Rays average attendance is 18,191 in 2023 till their last home game on 13 August. Rays had 22,163 people at their game against Guardians that day.
The franchise has received an increasing number of attendees this season compared to 2022. They have a noticeable growth of 30% in average attendance compared to 13,927 in last year.
The major reason behind their explosive increase in fanbase lies in their planning of special events and changes in rules at the ballpark. Since Tampa is a massive market for baseball fans, the major reason behind the low attendance during the games is because of the dilapidated condition of the ballpark.
Rays have been focusing more on improving the performance of the team instead of spending in the ballpark. They are planning to build a new stadium in the coming years, thus they have adapted some changes to satisfy the visitors with other services inside the park.
Their standings have also improved in the AL East Division this season, ranking second with 73 Wins and 50 Losses. Baltimore Orioles is leading the first position with just one additional win.
Rays attendance yesterday during the game against the Giants had 26,322 guests at Oracle Park. They had lost the game by 0 to 7 score.
However, the Tampa Bay Rays attendance today was 27,510 at the final game against the Giants on 16 August 2023. They won the game by a 6-1 score.
The American League team is ranked fourth among all of MLB teams in hitting records in 2023. The win loss percentage is also higher than the previous season with a .539 PCT average.
Their increasing stats have played a major role in the increasing number of guests at the stadium. They are ranked 13th in the American league and 27th in all of MLB for total audience count in 2023.
