Born on July 29, 1983, Ashley McBryde is an American country music singer, song producer, and songwriter. 

She was raised in Arkansas where she was exposed to different genres of music and musical instrument at a very young age. She was interested and had a passion for songs writing which she later pursued as a music career in form of a dream.

While staying in Arkansas not only musically but naturally she was inspired which lead her to write a variety of music. Her father's name was William C. McBryde who was a preacher resulting in her growing up in a strict household. In an interview with Billboard, she mentioned" When I was growing up, I don`t ever remember not seeing a gun or a Bible. He raised( her father) us that way as mean as that sounds and as sweet as that sounds too". 

Her mother's name was Martha A. Wilkins who was a homemaker. Her mother would take her to Bluegrass festivals which further inspired her music career. She had three siblings a sister named William Clayton McBryde and two brothers named  Dan Mcbryde and Aubrie McBryde.

McBryde completed her schooling at Arkansas High School where she participated in a program in a high school band before attending Arkansas State University. She studied french horn at the university.  At the same time she was performing regularly in the clubs nearby Memphis, Tennessee resulting got noticed by one of her college professors who saw her disinterest in studies and encouraged her to pursue music full time. 

In 2018, McBryde`s brother Clay McBryde died at the age of 53. The reason behind the death was never revealed publically.  She had continuously spoken publically through interviews about the equation with her dad and how difficult it was for her to pursue music as a career. She further mentioned the disapproval of her dad for her dream of becoming a singer. She even wrote a song about her father that is 'A Bible and a.44'which is considered one of her favorite songs. She clarifies how her father did not approve of any of his children making a life in the entertainment industry. 

On the other hand, her mother would support her and her siblings with any sort of dream. She mentioned in the interviews how she was able to have a guitar to learn and write music with the help of her mother. McBryde disclosed her positive influence and support from her mother.

Ashley McBryde's Career in Music Industry

As a child, she was drawn to music heard around her house which included songs by The Carpenters and Kris Kristofferson. She often played around with her father's guitar, which prompted her to buy her guitar. 

At the age of 12, she wrote her first song and hoped to become a songwriter. Her first objected dream was to become a songwriter which later shifted to becoming a singer. The voice she had was appreciated by her fans which paved her path in the journey of singing. McBryde's musical style combines country music with the genres of rock, bluegrass, pop, and country rock. 

In January 2006 she independently released her self-titled debut album named eponymous.  In 2007, she moved to Nashville the city said to be the city of writers to continue her music career. In the early days of her career, she performed with the band name Deadhorse at any given opportunity available. She even worked a day job at a guitar center. 

In 2009 and 2010 she won the annual Country Showdown talent show which helped her gain a few amounts of popularity. Her band also won Tennesse`s state-wide "Battle of the Band" contest. 

In 2011, she released her second album titled Elsebound. It was self-released and produced by her. During this time she had been on tour and open the concert with artists like Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton, and Chris Cagle.

In 2016, she was through Road Life Records and an extended play entitled Jalopies and Expansive Guitars. The Ep was discovered by Eric Church who further invited McBryde to perform her song Bible and a.44 in his tour "Holding My Own". 

In 2017, One of the senior vice presidents from Warner Music Nashville heard McBryde's album and was drawn to her music, and signed her off immediately. She even released her major-level debut album Girl Going Nowhere. The main track of the album was "A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega" which became a popular download and took a higher position on iTunes. This album got nominated for Grammy for Best Country Album during the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. 

She was voted as a nominee for the New Artist of the Year during the 53rd Annual Country Music Association Awards held on November 13, 2019. She held multiple tours and concerts through this album and created a whole new era for her career. 

In 2019, she released the lead single off her album named "One Night Standards". It became her first top 20 single both on Billboard Country Airplay and Country Songs Charts. The album and lead single led by McBryde received more nominations from the Acadamy of Country Music and Country Music Association.
