Dan Bongino Started His Career At A Young Age

Bongino was born as Daniel John Bongino on December 4th, 1974 in Queens, New York City. Not much is known about his parents apart from the information that they got divorced when Bongino was a very young boy.

He went on to live with his biological mother and step-father, who was a boxer. It has been known that Bongino's step-father used to abuse him and his younger brother on a daily basis.

It was only later that he and his brother managed to escape the abusive relationship with the help of their biological father. It is said that the abuse that he suffered may have given him the motivation to work with the NYPD.

Bongino went to Archbishop Molly High School and later graduated from Queens College with a Bachelor's Degree in psychology. He later finished his Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University.

Usually, kids in America start their first jobs at around 14  to earn some allowance for themselves by usually working part-time at fast food joints. But to them, it's just a job, not a career. They start building their careers at the age of 24-25, often. Bongino started his building his career at the age of 21.

Bongino started serving the NYPD in 1995 and stopped in 1999 after which he joined the US Secret Service as a special agent. He later left the field office in New York in 2002 to serve as an instructor at the Secret Service Training Academy in Beltsville, Maryland. Through the Presidential Protection Division, he also served former presidents George Bush and Barack Obama.

Apart from a job in police work, he also has a career in media, as a radio host and commentator on national radio and TV programs. He makes a weekly appearance on Fox News on the program Unfiltered With Dan Bongino and Cancelled in the USA.

He also has written several books, including Why a Top-ranked Secret Service Agent Walked Away From It All, Life Inside the Bubble and The Fight: A Secret Service Agent's Inside Account of Security Failings and the Political Machine.
