US Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer is expected to announce his retirement at the end of the Supreme court's term in June.  

When Justice Stephen announces that he is retiring, President Biden gets the first room to maneuver to designate a justice to the Supreme Court, where conservatives outline unprejudiced by 6-3 margins. 

Supreme Court Jurist worked on the high court for three decades; however, his retirement came at a time when Democrats had a bare majority in the Senate.

Although he was asked for retirement, he stated that he won't retire until a successor was confirmed to prevent political dodges in the confirmation process. 

Why is Justice Stephen Breyer Retiring? 

The 83-year-old Justice Stephen is retiring because he is facing calls to retire so that democrats can fill seats in the Supreme Court. 

One of the reputed centrist Jurists formally announced his retirement on January 27, 2022, writing a letter to President Joe Biden saying that he would step down by presuming another successor had been nominated. 

A devoted pragmatist made the changes in death penalty laws and presented three fundamental constitutional defects. He believes that the death penalty is a cruel and unusual punishment that should only be executed with convincing shreds of evidence. 

Therefore, the democrats started questioning and doubting his capital punishment law enforcement. Democrats had a bare majority in the Senate and were not gratified by the death penalty law executed by Stephen, so He had to retire after the 28 years of the court.

What are the Future plans of Justice Stephen Breyer? 

Justice Stephen has been scheduled with future plans after growing doubt on capital punishment, which led him to question constitutionally. 

President Joe Biden and Stephen are scheduled to appear together at the White House as there is Supreme Court is set to announce his retirement. The liberal Justice will announce his retirement, and President will be able to choose another Justice for the High Court, which will maintain the current 6-3 split between the liberals and conservatives.

The associate Justice is the son of Irving Gerald Breyer and Anne Roberts Breyer, with one brother Charles Breyer who became the federal district judge. 

In 1967, Stephen married a psychologist and member of the British Aristocracy, the honorable Joanna Freda Hare, younger daughter of John Hare and 1st Viscount Beckenham. They both have three children; Chloe Breyer, Nell Breyer, and Micheal Breyer.

Stephen Breyer's Biography

Stephen was born in a Christian family on August 15, 1938, in San Fransisco, California, the United States. 

The prominent lawyer completed his high school at Lowell high school, graduated from Stanford University and Magdalen University, and studied law at Harvard Law School. 

He got the Marshall Scholarship that patronized him to study economics, politics, and physics at Oxford's Magdalen University. Breyer attained a corporal position during his six months stay at the United States Army Reserve. 

Breyer was a full-time lecturer at Harvard Law School; however, he resigned from the school and was appointed by President Carter to the United States Court of Appeal for The First Circuit. Since then, Stephen has been heightened as the most prominent lawyer.
