You can expand your knowledge and your possibilities by enrolling in a recognized business degree program. It increases your earning potential to connect with people who can help you get started in your profession. 

But continuing your studies requires financial investment.

According to U.S. News, $10,000 can be spent annually on an undergraduate or graduate business program at a public university, and at least $35,000 at a private university.

However, you may reduce your tuition costs with a scholarship. There are plenty of scholarships available for students who want to obtain a business degree.

And in this article, we’ve put together a few scholarships for business majors.


The Dell Scholars Program

The Dell Scholars Program was founded by the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation with a motive to support underprivileged students seeking a college degree.

To apply for this scholarship junior as well as senior high school students are required to participate in its College Readiness Program to help prepare them for several college coursework and workshops.

Additionally, with up to $20,000 in financial awards, the foundation provides a laptop, Chegg credits for tutoring, purchases and rentals, textbook support, and a personalized support network that includes peer mentors, students, and Dell Scholars staff.

This scholarship program allows 300 recipients to pursue college without having to worry about the cost each year.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A minimum of 2.4 GPA.
  • The candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Graduating from an accredited high school.
  • The applicant must be participating in the Dell Scholars-approved College Readiness Program.

ALPFA Scholarship Program

ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals for America) was founded in 1972 and is known as the first national Latino professional association in the country.

Currently, ALPFA has over 160 university chapters, and 45 professional groups, and serves close to 100,000 Latino men and women.

It offers a total of $150,000 annually in scholarships. Members of this organization are encouraged to get involved in local charities in addition to taking part in leadership development programs and summer internships with Fortune 100 businesses.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
  • Applicant must be a legal resident of the United States, of Hispanic descent, and a citizen.
  • They should be enrolled full-time in a recognized college or university in the United States, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, or Guam.

Mary Elizabeth Lockwood Beneventi MBA Scholarship

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) offers nine distinct scholarships, including the Mary Elizabeth Lockwood Beneventi MBA Scholarship, to students majoring in business.

DAR is a non-profit women’s service organization founded in 1890 and dedicated to serving America’s youth through better education facilities.

Regardless of race or national origin, it assists deserving underprivileged students with its MBA scholarship with one one-time preferred amount of up to $2,000. It is not always renewable, but the students can reapply for this scholarship program depending on circumstances.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A student must have a minimum of 3.25 GPA
  • The applicant Should be a legal resident or a citizen of the US.
  • They must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at an accredited college or university.
  • There should be evidence of financial need.

Ford Motor Company Tribal Scholarship

Ford Motor Company Tribal Scholarship is funded by one of the biggest scholarship providers of American Indian students, the American Indian College Fund.

The 30-year-old organization has collaborated with Ford Motor Company in supporting 35 tribal colleges and universities in the country.

The American Indian College Fund is the top provider of scholarships for higher education, offering Native American students resources and additional support services.

This scholarship scheme offers scholarships of up to $3000 to students majoring in math, science, teaching, engineering, and environmental science, in addition to business majors.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A GPA of at least 2.0.
  • The applicant should be a citizen or legal resident of the US.
  • They must be enrolled in a tribal, public, or private (non-profit) college or university that is accredited for a certificate, associate's, bachelor's, or graduate program.
  • Evidence of Indian ancestry or enrollment in a tribe that has received federal or state recognition.

Executive Women International Scholarship Program (EWISP)

Executive Women International Scholarship Program was founded by a women’s organization, Executive Women International. The organization was developed in 1938 in San Francisco, California.

The EWISP Scholarship is a non-discriminatory educational scholarship program designed to help traditional students pursuing a certification program in a particular career path or an associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree.

This Programme is a competition-based annual program that grants eligible seniors in high school and college scholarships. The judges choose the winning students based on their extracurricular involvement, leadership abilities, good conduct, and academic performance.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a citizen of the EWISP branch.
  • To apply, a US citizen is required.
  • Must be a high school student enrolled in at least nine credit hours of full-time undergraduate study at an authorized college or university each semester.
  • The student must have a minimum 3.00 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

The Graydon and Myrth Fox Scholarship

The Graydon and Myrth Fox Scholarship is operated by Sacramento’s leading provider of charitable service, Sacramento Region Community Foundation.

The foundation was established in 1983 with the goal of doing charity community service, one of which is to offer financial assistance to people pursuing higher education.

The purpose of the Graydon and Myrth Scholarship is to support veterans and their families, particularly those who lost their lives or suffered serious injuries during the conflict. They provide the scholarship award between $1000 to $5000 to the eligible candidate.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must be a veteran of the US armed forces or the surviving spouse of a member of the applicant's dependant family who was killed or injured while on active duty or in a military exercise.
  • The applicant must have enrollment in a university, college, or trade school that has been accredited.
  • They need to provide evidence of a relationship with the Veteran.

Nomad Capitalist Scholarship for International Business Students

Nomad Capitalist is an offshore strategy company launched by Andrew Henderson with the specific goal of helping students achieve financial stability, diversify their lifestyles, and gain personal independence in a global environment.

Every year, they grant a $1000 scholarship. The scholarship's purpose is to assist students who may not otherwise be able to afford education and keep their dreams unfulfilled

Fukunaga Scholarship Foundation

The Fukunaga Scholarship Foundation’s scholarships are given to motivate students from Hawaii to pursue careers in Business. The 2024 cohort scholarship recipients will each get $20,000 spread over four years.

The Foundation gives scholarships to the most worthy candidates based on their financial need, leadership potential, academic standing, and dedication to a business career.

There is intense competition for this scholarship, which only awards 10 students a year. If you are selected, an interview will take place in Honolulu.

  • The candidate needs to be a senior in high school.
  • They have to be from Hawaii.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0.

Women in Public Finance Scholarship

Women in Public Finance has a long history of helping young women realize their dreams of becoming successful financial industry professionals.

They help in identifying college-bound high school girls who have shown academic achievement and leadership qualities through their scholarship program.

This fellowship supports the pursuit of careers in finance, particularly public finance, by young women. Every year, Women in Public Finance awards scholarships to up to 10 deserving students.

This scholarship initiative has a $3000 prize amount to deserving students.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Must demonstrate leadership qualities through employment, volunteer work, and or extracurricular involvement.
  • The candidate must be a senior in high school planning to attend college.
